The Moment Everything Changed

I was working a regular 8-to-5 job. I had always loved speaking and influencing people, but I didn't know how to do it on a major scale. Then at a company convention, I saw Les Brown on stage in Las Vegas.

Something inside me woke up. Something said, "This is your time."

When Les announced he was doing a mentoring program and invited interested people to meet him in his hotel room, I ran. Literally ran through the MGM Grand with hundreds of other people chasing the same opportunity.

I was the 12th person at the door. The first man in the room.

At our face-to-face weekend in Los Angeles, I couldn't sleep. My spirit was jumping. It was like my identity was starting to roar outside of me.

That year changed everything.

Les spoke to the person inside of me that I knew was there but couldn't unlock on my own. He helped me see that I wasn't meant to just work a job—I was meant to train people, teach people, coach people. I'm a speaker. I'm a trainer. This is what I do.

He unlocked my limiting beliefs. He gave me a bigger vision of myself. He taught me about the theater of the mind, the subconscious, the reticular activating system—how to retrain my mind to see what I want to see, not what I don't.

From that point on, I've had the best job opportunities of my life. I've made more money than I ever thought possible. Not because I learned some tactic or strategy—but because I unlocked my identity and learned who I really am.

That's why I do what I do now.

Because if the right coach at the right time can change your entire trajectory—and I'm living proof that it can—then maybe I'm supposed to be that coach for someone else.

Maybe that someone is you.
